• At Nationwide we’re here for our members and we put their needs first in everything we do. And now, more than ever, two things are helping us go from strength to strength: we put our customers first, and we’re known for being open, honest and trustworthy.
  • You’ll be a senior in-house lawyer in the Retail Legal team supporting the Payments and Digital business area and the Product & Propositions community (particularly current accounts), providing advice on all the legal issues, risks and developments on payments related matters, projects and initiatives. In doing so, you’ll work closely with other lawyers in the team and often as the lead lawyer on projects.
  • You’ll use your expertise to help draft legal documentation such as terms and conditions and advise on the compliance of customer journeys, customer facing materials and communications in different distribution channels. You’ll also support the development of new products, services and processes, including those connected to Open Banking.
  • You will have expertise in, and extensive experience of advising on, payments on retail accounts within the financial services industry, which we would expect to include digital and Open Banking related matters.
  • You will have a good understanding of relevant law, e.g. the Payments Services Regulations and Consumer Rights Act, and the legal and regulatory frameworks for UK financial services.
