  • About the Role: A new opportunity has arisen for an in-house Senior Lawyer to join the Corporate Transactions legal team for a thirteen-month fixed term role (beginning December 2019 to end December 2020).
  • Looking for: Among your many attributes, we are looking to secure your substantial post qualification experience gained at a reputable city or niche law firm and/or in house across a broad range of M&A transactions; and your desire to start or further their in-house career in a role that will give substantial deal responsibility and extensive opportunity for strategic influence in a fast-changing business.
  • Opportunities: The opportunities afforded to you will include but not be limited to, proactively leading (with significant autonomy) on behalf of BT Legal for some of BT’s largest and most complex transactions, including UK and international corporate and M&A transactions such as acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and investments; identifying, owning, and mitigating commercial legal risks arising from M&A transactions and ensuring compliance with relevant governance.
  • And more: You will be engaging with and project managing teams of lawyers including internal specialists and external legal advisers where retained. Working with commercial teams, financial and treasury advisors and regulatory and competition specialists to deliver these high-value, highly complex contracts for BT.
