• As well as being the first - and only - economic regulator of payment systems anywhere in the world, we're also a concurrent Competition Authority. We're a subsidiary of the FCA but are fully independent, with our own managing director and board. We're funded by the payments industry and are directly accountable to Parliament.
  • We are currently recruiting for a Senior Associate to join our legal team. The legal team provides legal advice and supports a wide range of projects across the organisation, by making sure that our decision making and processes are legally robust and fair.
  • Your responsibilities will include: Drafting and maintaining legal precedents, supporting and advising Procurement on their standard SOGAS agreements, and drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts and agreements.
  • You will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to inform robust evidence-based decisions and practical conclusions and recommendations.
  • You will be able to identify legal issues and exercise judgment in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including economists, lawyers, policy advisers and payments specialists.
