  • About the role: A great opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Programme Lawyer to be part of our in-house Legal Team.
  • Looking For: Among your myriad attributes, we are looking to secure your experience of legal work in television or other media production and/or content clearance, whether obtained in house or in private practice; your knowledge of law of defamation, contempt, privacy and copyright; and your knowledge of regulatory Codes and their practical application.
  • Opportunities: The opportunities afforded to you will include but not be limited to, provide advice on a range of legal issues including defamation, contempt, privacy and copyright; providing advice on compliance with broadcasting regulations including the Ofcom Broadcasting Code; and ensuring that producers (including 3rd parties) understand their compliance obligations.
  • And more: You will provide advice and support to non-legal Compliance team on request; draft responses to programme regulatory complaints and conduct proactive compliance risk and issue management.
