  • About the role: The EBRD's Office of the General Counsel is at the core of EBRD's challenging mandate to support the transition process in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia, and the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean region. The Office of General Counsel is seeking to appoint an in-house Counsel, with start date as soon as possible.
  • Looking For: We are looking to secure your expertise and proven professional experience of at least five-years’ experience, gained in another international organisation, in private practice with a leading law firm, Ministry of Foreign Affairs or other public sector entity.
  • Opportunities: You will be afforded the opportunity to work and provide legal support on the full range of corporate matters (institutional, human resources, co-financing and administrative), ensuring that all legal, reputational and related risks for the Bank are identified and appropriately dealt.
  • And more: You will have an excellent command of the English language, including a demonstrated skill to draft and negotiate legal documents in English. Additionally, a command of Russian and/or Arabic languages, or another language of EBRD's region, including a demonstrated skill to draft and negotiate in such language, would be an advantage.
