  • About the role: We are seeking to appoint an In-house Legal Counsel - Insurance & Deposit Takers (6-Month Fixed Term Contract) to work in our London office.
  • Looking For: Among your many attributes, we are looking to secure your excellent legal analytical and drafting skills; and your excellent legal risk awareness, evaluation and management skills including an ability to create solutions and deliver pragmatic outcome-focussed judgements that take account of the business environment.
  • Opportunities: The opportunities afforded to you will include but not be limited to, with support from senior lawyers, developing and applying technical knowledge and judgment to advise PRA supervisors and policy-makers (initially relating to insurers and banks) on less complex legal issues, ensuring that agreed outcomes and timescales are met and that legal risk is adequately identified, managed and mitigated; and working openly and collaboratively in teams within IDT and the Legal Directorate, and with relevant business areas and external bodies.
  • And more: Alongside the General Counsel's Office, the Legal Directorate is split into five main teams 1) Central Banking 2) Enforcement & Litigation 3) EU Withdrawal 4) Financial Stability and 5) Insurance and Deposit Takers. We are also supported by a Strategy and Operations team.
