Legal Counsel – Data Protection & Privacy

  • The Football Association (The FA) is the governing body of football in England. We are responsible for promoting and developing the game at all levels; from grass roots through to the professional game, The FA Cup and the England International teams, and has two core assets: Wembley Stadium and St George’s Park.
  • In this in-house role, key responsibilities will include: the provision of legal support to the FA Group on the legal compliance requirements regarding data protection and privacy, and devising and implementing strategies to ensure legal compliance.
  • You will be proposing policy amendments to existing data protection and privacy policies, and processing the documentation changes required and Working closely and collaboratively with all internal stake holders.
  • You must be able to demonstrate a breadth of relevant knowledge of data protection law and have the ability to demonstrate the application of robust legal advice in a practical manner.
  • Previous experience of sports law is preferable as it previous in-house experience.
