Legal Counsel – Data Privacy

  • Shell started operations in the United Kingdom more than 110 years ago. Since then we have grown into a leading innovative oil and gas company that rewards its employees by investing heavily in their careers and learning.
  • This in-house role is based in the Shell Ethics and Compliance Office (SECO), part of our global data privacy legal team.
  • When you’re not liaising with colleagues across the business, you’ll also be drafting and negotiating complex agreements related to the collection, use and transfer of personal data.
  • It’s your personal skills that will make the difference. If you’re a confident communicator (on paper and in person) who enjoys sharing knowledge and working collaboratively, you’ll be in your element here. In particular, we’re looking for strong influencing skills; you’re comfortable working with senior stakeholders and overcoming resistance.
  • You will be well versed with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other global privacy laws in Asia and America, with a combination of in-house and private practice experience.
