  • About the Firm: The Financial Conduct Authority is a financial regulatory body in the United Kingdom, but operates independently of the UK Government, and is financed by charging fees to members of the financial services industry.
  • About the role: We are looking for experienced Lawyers to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams within the Retail and Regulatory Investigations Directorate of the Enforcement and Market Oversight Division (EMO).
  • Looking For: Among your myriad attributes, we are looking to secure your ability to assist your Manager in developing a case strategy, including identifying key risks and putting in place steps to mitigate those risks; and your ability to make timely decisions based on relevant analysis, exercising judgement on the evidence and being able to defend those judgements where appropriate.
  • Opportunities: The opportunities afforded to you will include but not be limited to, advising on the strategy, scope, and risks of an investigation, and organising the gathering of evidence; and overseeing and managing the work of other Associates and Paralegals on case teams when managing cases and ensure effective progression of the project to reach timely outcomes, escalating issues where necessary.
