  • About the role: We are recruiting a Junior Legal Counsel to provide in-house legal support for all aspects of the Science Museum Group's operations.
  • Looking For: We are looking to secure your expertise and at least one year’s experience in an intellectual property and/or commercial seat, team or in-house role; with your range of experiences relating to commercial contract drafting and negotiation; complemented by your excellent verbal and written communication skills; and excellent attention to detail.
  • Opportunities: The opportunities afforded to you will include, but not be limited to, negotiating, drafting and advising upon contracts with third parties, for example in relation to object loans, touring, sponsorship, commercial licensing, product development and advising on filming and technology agreements; and advising internal clients on all legal aspects of the Museum’s operations including in relation to intellectual property and data protection –but also charity, tax and property if required.
  • And more: Additional desirable attributes include your strong interest in working in the public and/or cultural sector; previous paralegal/office experience prior to your training contract; and have specific experience in legal work relating to construction, real estate, public procurement, planning, employment, soft intellectual property.
