  • The Role: We are seeking to appoint an in-house Deputy Head Legal Counsel, Central Banking Division on a 12-month FTC.
  • Looking For: Among your many skills we are looking to secure your expertise as a qualified lawyer with experience including in advising on commercial matters; your experience in providing advice to senior internal decision-makers, Heads of Legal, the Deputy General Counsel and the General Counsel; and your experience in effectively representing a team or division, and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Opportunities: The opportunities afforded to you will include, but not be limited to, acting as a senior legal adviser in relation to the Division’s work, particularly its commercial work, and also provide high-quality, dedicated line management to up to 4 lawyers, ensuring excellence in the provision of legal advice within the Division.
  • And more: You will have excellent legal advisory skills and experience of providing legal advice on complex issues and in the context of complex projects/transactions; and excellent legal risk awareness, evaluation and management skills including an ability to create solutions and deliver pragmatic outcome-focussed judgements that take account of the business environment.
